Isn't It a Pity

Here's my final painting for the "A Day in The Life" show. A 12"x12" torn paper paining on wood of George Harrison. While I never really intend to have the skeletal images I often employ in my work to be morbid, I cannot deny the correlation of his smoking in the image, the shadowed skull and his death from lung cancer. Because of this I have chosen to entitle the painting "Isn't It a Pity", one of his most popluar songs from his 1970 solo album All Things Must Pass.

The "A Day in The Life" show will run from June 24th thru July 24th and will have an opening reception on July 10th from 6-9 at the (art)ificial Gallery in Lakewood, OH.
